Quality Job Standards
We understand that no job is perfect. However, to maintain our standard of high quality throughout the network, we require that employers adhere to our Quality Job Standards.
Honesty and Integrity
This is the single most important requirement of our Quality Job Standards. Job listings must accurately portray the organization and the job opportunity. Grossly exaggerating a job opportunity will, at best, waste both the employer's and candidate's time and, at worst, set the employer back significantly when the candidate uncovers the "real" job description and takes his skills elsewhere.
More Than Just a Salary
A strong candidate is looking for more than just a salary, be it a good training program or a relaxed work environment. The job listing needs to describe what other benefits come with a job at the organization.
(Exception: Hourly/Contract Work)
No Bait & Switch
The job listing must describe the actual position. An employer may not post an opportunity that it has no intention of filling and then introduce candidates to a lesser opportunity.
Third-Party Recruiters & "Headhunters"
We understand that placement firms are an asset to many organizations for finding top talent.
However, due to the "bad apples" of the industry, we carefully screen placement firms to make sure that they're
quality organizations.
Quality Enforcement
Although we do not maintain any communication with candidates who apply for job listings, we do ask all users of the network -- bloggers, employers, and readers -- to notify us if they find that anything has violated our standard of high quality throughout the network. We thoroughly investigate all quality complaints and will take whatever action is necessary to maintain our quality, up to and including permanently banning from our network.
